Roan “Jucão” Carneiro
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Coach | MMA Coach

Roan “Jucão” Carneiro is the Head Coach of American Top Team Atlanta. He is a world-renowned coach as well as a competitor at the highest levels. As a coach, he has a track record of success, leading his students to consistent dominance within their respective divisions. Jucao and his students are represented in winning fights in ONE-FC, BELLATOR, and UFC just to name a few. As a competitor, he has had 6 fights in the UFC, and is the current BATTLEGROUNDS MMA welterweight champion, in addition to being the 2014 NO GI IBJJF world champion. Jucao recently returned to the UFC with a dominant submission in UFC 184. Here at American Top Team Atlanta, Jucao teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and no-gi grappling.

Devorius Tubbs
Muay Thai Coach | MMA Coach

Devorious Tubbs is a professional fighter. Tubbs is a 2X World Muay Thai IKF Champion and was ranked #1 in the world by IKF as an amateur turning pro.
 

Tubbs has trained since he was in 6th grade, 11 years of which dedicated to Muay Thai, and has been competing as a mixed martial artist since 2008. He has coached thousands of individuals, celebrities, UFC fighters, and champions.

Will Brooks
MMA Coach

Will Brooks is a professional martial artist and is in his 15th year as a professional mixed martial arts competitor. Former 2x Bellator Lightweight champion, former UFC Lightweight contender, and MMA coach for American Top Team.

Filipe Matos Pereira
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Coach

Filipe Matos started training brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2008 in brasília, Brazil at the age of 14. Under the influence of a competition driven school, started climbing the regional rankings still as a juvenile. During the colored belts, placed multiple times at IBJJF open events and moved to the USA in 2018. Filipe was promoted to the black belt in 2019 and is now coaching and training representing the American Top Team flag under Roan “Jucao” Carneiro.

John Dalton Lutz
Muay Thai Coach

John Lutz had his first Muay Thai fight in 2009 at the age of 38. He was an active fighter until 2019 and has multiple wins in the NFC and IKF. He began transitioning from fighting to coaching in 2016 and created a strength and conditioning program for the fighters at American Top Team Atlanta. He is also an experienced cornerman and pad holder.

Ernesto Rivera
Jiu Jitsu Coach

Ernesto Rivera is a first generation Cuban American immigrant. Born in Venezuela to Cuban parents in exile, he moved to the United States at the age of four.

 

He earned a bachelors degree in Finance and International Business from Florida International University in 2016.

 

Ernesto currently works in Treasury Capital Markets for UPS.

 

He’s been black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu since 2019, having trained since 2010 and will be teaching No Gi Jiu Jitsu at American Top Team in Sandy Springs, GA.
